(often referred to as Caps)
Have you ever noticed someone with dark unsightly lines around
the gums of a crown? This is the result of using a traditional
type of crown, which has a metal base under the porcelain
of the crown. The dark-colored metal visibly gives a dead
appearance to tooth at the gum line. With the recent improvements
in porcelain strength and translucency, aesthetic all-porcelain
crowns can now be used instead, rendering a more natural look
that teeth should have.

From the picture above, can you tell which
of these teeth has a crown on it? If you picked all of these,
you are correct. However, only the red, blue and orange are
the work of Dr. Rivas (all porcelain crowns). There is a difference.
