This software engineer had
been working abroad for years and was rarely here at home,
so all his dental treatment had been done by various dentists
around the Pacific Rim. He broke off the porcelain facing
of a crown while here for a month, and sought a solution
for the front teeth. The gums were uneven and the crowns
had metal backings that gave an unaesthetic appearance
to his smile. He also had a small gap between his two
front teeth. We performed laser recontouring of the gumline
and then used all porcelain crowns to make the esthetic
transformation. This photo was taken on the day of placement.
