Hi, I’m Dr. Cherish Jensen. I'm one of seven kids in my family and I became a dentist because I care deeply about people—and I wanted to be part of a profession where I could help them feel safe, seen, and confident. My younger sister, who was a dental assistant, encouraged me to explore the field. Once I saw how much of a difference dentistry could make, I was all in.

I’m especially proud to represent Pacific Islanders in this profession. My mom is Samoan, and growing up, I didn’t know any Pacific Islander dentists. That visibility matters—and I hope to inspire others in my community to pursue their dreams too.

Cherish was the first girl after five boys, so her mom chose the name because she’d hoped for a daughter.

She is one of 7 kids in her family.

She’s from Minnesota and has lived in Utah since 2011. She’s still learning to ski.

She enjoys the challenge of running half marathons.

Her mom is Samoan, and her dad is half Swedish and half Finnish.

If you’ve ever been nervous about the dentist, you’re not alone. I’ve worked with many patients who walked in scared and left with a smile they felt proud of. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, never pressured, and fully supported throughout your care.

I take a gentle approach and get a lot of compliments on my injections. Patients often say it wasn’t nearly as uncomfortable as they expected.

Whether we’re fixing one tooth or designing a full smile makeover, I’ll talk you through each step, give you options, and respect your pace. You're always in control.

Smile Design Is My Passion

I specialize in cosmetic dentistry—particularly smile design and full-mouth rehabilitation. I love working on cases where we use veneers or crowns to completely transform a smile. These changes go beyond aesthetics. They improve how you chew, breathe, and carry yourself.

To make sure I’m always giving my patients the best, I’ve completed over 500 hours of continuing education—far beyond what’s required. I believe that being a great dentist means being a lifelong learner.

A Little About Me

I’m the sixth of seven kids, and the first girl after five boys. That’s actually why my mom named me Cherish—she really wanted a daughter! I was born in Minnesota but have called Utah home since 2011.

Outside of work, I’m a mom to two girls, and I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy running and am learning how to ski (slowly but surely).
